Introduction to Paper-Less – The Next Generation
To meet this demand, ISE has a two part strategy – Paper-Less .NET and LEAP, which stands for Lean Execution and Planning. Paper-Less .NET will support current and future customers that execute under traditional planning techniques. LEAP will support customers who are actively engaged in Lean manufacturing practices. Each of these are briefly described below. Paper-Less .NET ISE announces the deployment of Paper-Less software products using the .NET architecture. Over 20 years of serving the manufacturing industry and 14 years of developing shop floor solutions, uniquely positions Paper-Less to create the next generation of solutions for our manufacturing customers. The .NET architecture enables rapid prototyping and provides a rapid development environment that serves as the best vehicle to bring products to market quickly. Paper-Less QM will be the first of our modules to be released in .NET. Paper-Less QM – Quality Management Paper-Less QM will encompass the establishment of control plans for statistical and attribute testing, test entry, equipment maintenance and calibration, non-conformance alerts and reporting, material review, and linkage to statistical charting software. Paper-Less QM will serve as the core for our Supplier Performance Module scheduled for 1st quarter 2005. Additional modules will quickly follow. Paper-Less LEAP – Lean Execution and Planning The Paper-Less LEAP application suite will take Paper-Less and our customers into the world of Lean manufacturing. As customers move toward LEAN, Paper-Less LEAP will support that transition through expert systems supportive of LEAN. These systems will also be developed under the .NET framework and for the Windows architecture. The LEAP application suite will be very modular allowing us to pick and choose modules tailored to customer need – our “Configurable MES System”. Recognizing Lean purists feel there are no reasons for computerization on the shop floor in a LEAN organization, we part from that philosophy as we seek to fulfill the needs of our customers in the real world and on their LEAN journey. Our modules do support LEAN and they help to expedite the implementation of LEAN practices. Allow us the opportunity to represent how our
