Wisconsin
Manufacturer of the Year Selects Infor ERP Solution to Handle
Rapid Growth
Trailer-hitch producer Curt
Manufacturing chooses Infor to gain flexibility and scale
ATLANTA, January 17, 2006 -- Infor,
the largest global enterprise software provider exclusively
focused on developing solutions for the manufacturing and
distribution industries, today announced that Curt
Manufacturing, a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of towing-system
products, has chosen Infor to provide an enterprise resource
planning solution integrating its two plants and seven North
American distribution sites.
Curt has twice been
named Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year by Wisconsin
Manufacturers and Commerce, deriving in part from its innovative
product line, including color-matched hitches for the SUV and
light-truck market. This rapidly growing company has chosen to
ensure its future growth through investment in advanced software
solutions.
As a result, the company elected to work with
Infor channel partner Information Systems Engineering, Inc.
(ISE) to implement Infor’s XA enterprise resource planning
solution to standardize processes across all its locations,
increase visibility of its processes to improve decision making,
and provide a stable platform that can be scaled upward easily.
XA is a major element of Infor’s Manufacturing Essentials suite
of solutions.
Curt will use the Infor technology to manage and
integrate all aspects of its business. “Infor XA’s breadth and
depth of function are very impressive,” said Curt Manufacturing
Marketing Director Scott Morrison. “We are particularly
enthusiastic about its scheduling and execution functions.
Beyond the solution itself, however, we determined that Infor
and ISE had the most manufacturing expertise of any of the
providers we were considering, and its customer references were
outstanding.”
The company anticipates that its new Infor
technology will be up and running in all nine sites within ten
months. By improving visibility of inventory and shipments, the
Infor ERP solution reduces lead times. Infor’s solution promotes
lean manufacturing by providing real-time visibility of order
status and reducing the need for safety stock. Its tracking
systems also enable companies to improve dramatically both the
predictability of materials shipments and on-time deliveries.

Infor named to Software
Magazine's 23rd Annual Software 500
Software
Magazine Ranks Infor as one of the World’s Largest Software
Companies
ATLANTA, Sept. 29, 2005
-- Infor today announced its inclusion on the Software 500,
Software Magazine’s
list of the world’s foremost software and services providers,
published as an online catalog on
www.Softwaremag.com.
Infor, ranked #111 out of 500 technologies companies,
purchased MAPICS (#164) in April 2005. With combined revenues of
$498.1m, Infor would be listed as #91 or in the top 20%.
"We are pleased to be included in the top 100 and
acknowledged for our rapid growth and progress," said Jim
Schaper, chairman and CEO. "Our success is attributed to our
focus and continued commitment to providing solutions that help
our manufacturing and distribution customers face the essential
challenges they face everyday."
"The overall health of the software and services industries
has improved, with revenue for the 2005 software 500 at $383.3
billion worldwide for 2004, an increase of 16.5% over the
previous year. The industry continues to be dynamic, with nearly
100 new companies on the 2005 Software 500 list," says John P.
Desmond, editor of
Software Magazine
and Softwaremag.com. "Employee head count was up 13.7% and was
strongest in the segments of collaboration/project management,
system integration services and IT consulting, and the supply
chain/manufacturing software segment. Our aim is to help CIOs,
senior IT managers and IT staff research their partner options
and that is a valuable service."
The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world’s
largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to
large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers
and business managers involved in software and services
purchasing. The list includes both private and public companies;
28% of the 2004 Software 500 companies are private. The Software
500 is searchable by primary business sector on
www.Softwaremag.com, free
to all site registrants. "The online Software 500 is a valuable
resource for CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff for
researching their vendor partner options. It is a quick
reference of vendor
viability," Desmond says.
The ranking is based on total worldwide software and service
revenue for 2004. This includes revenues from software licenses,
maintenance and support, training and software-related services
and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total
corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such
as hardware. The financial information was gathered by a survey
prepared by King Content Co. and posted at
www.Softwaremag.com, as
well as from public documents.
